Journeyman Electrician
A-Var Electric is seeking a motivated and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. Since 1984, we’ve built our reputation on quality workmanship, safety, and exceptional customer service throughout Southern Colorado.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll work on a variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects. We are looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to delivering high-quality electrical installations and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Perform service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Install electrical panels, lighting, wiring, outlets, and equipment.
- Ensure all work meets NEC, state, and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Maintain a safe and organized job site.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

- Competitive pay based on experience $34.00/hr to $38.00/hr based on experience
